Worksheet for Children and Beginner - Tenses - Present Perfect Tense and Past Simple Tense (P1)

Hi friends,

How are you? Hope all of you are OK.

In my country, the students are coming back to school this week and a new school-year is started, so I have many things to do: find sources to make exercises, write them to their notebooks and teach. Although this work is sometimes stressful, but just thinking of I can help them to find the interests in learning and make their life more better in the future, that's all let me keep going, doing and treating them with all of my heart.

There are lots of teachers and learners on the internet have asked me about the next series of tenses, so today I will satisfy them with this worksheet of present perfect tense and past simple tense. Not only my students but also my cousins have some problems when trying to understand and use both tenses in the correct way. If you or your students have the same problems, I hope this worksheet can help.

In this free worksheet 1 - Present perfect tense and Past simple tense, it has 4 parts:

  • Part 1: we will practice the spelling rules of present perfect tense and past simple tense by writing the correct forms in past tense and past participle.
  • Part 2: we will practice and differentiate between present perfect tense and past simple tense by filling the blank.
  • Part 3: we will practice and differentiate between present perfect tense and past simple tense by finding mistakes.
  • Part 4: we will practice and differentiate between present perfect tense and past simple tense by choosing the correct answer.
